Strand #2

This is day 2 - second strand - on Paradigm Lost:

Well, I guess I'm back. My good friend, Ruth, has a method of stitching that I find most intriguing. Actually, she has several, but this one spoke to me before - and I may have blogged about it. She stitches one length of floss a day on a project and, when that's done, she stops.

I really think that this lends itself well for a project such as Paradigm Lost because it is stitched in one color and because I get tired of it rather quickly. One reason for this is that many of the motifs have eight identical parts and I get bored after the second or third time I stitch the same thing. Another is because there's quite a distance between one motif and another and I'm always second guessing myself as to whether I'm at the right place. But the most annoying part of it is that the fabric is big and heavy and it gets tiresome to stitch on it.

Well, that's it for today. Glad to be back in the blogosphere.

I'm so glad you are back. I find this little trick interesting too. And I could see how it works on a project like this one - with all one color. I've been having a hard time stitching too. Between work, a husband and a ten year old and battling migraines and some depression I just haven't felt up to it. The project I'm working on has lots of color changes so what I'm doing is working one square (100 stiches) each night. I know it's not alot but it's progress and eventually I'll feel like doing more. I'm so glad you are back! By the way I stopped blogging....bad me...maybe you will encourage me to start again. Sherry

Oh, I meant to ask about your boys (well young men). How are they? Are they civilians now or still in service?
